What’s next… is your future! And it is never too soon to start thinking seriously about what type of work you want to do in your life, and how you can obtain it.
Opportunities surround you – just like our T3 Program. T3 is a vocational program waiting to be taken advantage of by just the right student. It provides high school students a chance to continue their education, learn a skill, and make a good living.
Up to four graduating students from Norte Vista School and up to four students from Ramona High School in Riverside may be selected to participate in the two-year T3 training program.
The program provides participants wages of up to $12 per hour during training. Participant must agree to take part in up to 30 hours a week of on-the-job trade and technical training (days and hours may vary) and up to 10 hours of college course study, scheduled by the student separately, as designated by Riverside Public Utilities. Expenses for required T3 coursework will be reimbursed through the City of Riverside’s Education Reimbursement Program.
Participants will be evaluated periodically each year and receive a certificate of program completion after successful completion of two year program. Participation in the program does not guarantee a position with the City of Riverside and program participation may be terminated at any time during the program at the discretion of the City of Riverside.
For additional information about the program click here to download the T3 Program Brochure (PDF).
This program is open to graduating high school students from Riverside’s Norte Vista and Ramona High Schools who are 18 years old.
Participants must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 or greater, with “C” grades or higher in Math and English courses. Evidence of participation in extracurricular activities such as sports, community service, music, work, etc. is a plus.
